Tourism New Zealand has launched their 100% Pure Play campaign, celebrating the release of the Minecraft Movie and NZ becoming the world’s first playable destination in Minecraft.
We are thrilled that TNZ are bringing a media famil to the West Coast in April as part of this campaign.
Their trip begins with a stay at Woodland Glen Lodge, before diving into a series of experiences to align with the 'play' theme of the campaign. Fabio will take to two wheels, cycling part of the spectacular West Coast Wilderness Trail, while Ollie will soar high at the West Coast Treetop Walkway & Zipline.
In Glacier Country, the group will experience the Franz Josef Glacier Guides Heli Hike before winding down for the evening at Te Waonui Forest Retreat.
The action continues the next day, with Fabio heading out on a fishing tour with Franz Josef Wilderness Tours, while Ollie takes the ultimate leap—New Zealand’s highest skydive with Skydive Franz & Fox Glacier, experiencing breathtaking aerial views of the glaciers, coastline, and mountains. To round out their adventure, the group will visit the West Coast Wildlife Centre, getting up close with the rare rowi kiwi and learning about the conservation efforts that make the West Coast so special.
On their final day, the group will dive into the rich cultural heritage of the Coast with a visit to Māwhera Pounamu Pathway before boarding the TranzAlpine Scenic Train, for the journey to Christchurch.
