Join Byte and Westtech for a series of 2 x 45-minute Zoom sessions to discover how to leverage multimedia tools to elevate your business's online presence and engagement.

  • Session 1: Video Marketing Essentials: Learn how to create compelling video content using free and low-cost tools like Openshot, Kdenlive and DaVinci Resolve. Discover tips for optimising your videos for social media, websites, and marketing campaigns, whilst also learning some green-screen skills to broaden your marketing reach
  • Session 2: Podcasting and Audio Content Creation: Explore the world of podcasting and audio content creation using tools like Audacity. Learn how to create engaging audio content, promote your podcast.

Who: Business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals looking to enhance their online presence and engagement through multimedia.

When: Lunchtime session: 12.15pm - 1pm on Wednesday 24 July, and Friday 26 July 2024. The sessions will be recorded and available until 31 August 2024.

Course confirmation date: Tuesday 23 July. The Friday session can be joined at Te Whare Matihiko - The House of Digital at 25 Hamilton St, Hokitika with vegetable soup and a bun at no additional cost… or Bring Your Own Lunch.

Byte - Māwhera Digital Hub, Te Whare Matihiko /The House Of Digital and WestTech come under the umbrella of West Coast Technology Education Trust, whose goal is to offer affordable Technology, and Enterprise education.

Andrew Wright will be presenting three webinar series:

All courses are run online. 12.15pm - 1pm. Learn at your desk. A recording of each session will be available - so you can revise or watch at your leisure. Friday sessions of courses 24.31, 24.32, and 24.33 will also be available at Te Whare Matihiko, The House Of Digital (HOD), 25 Hamilton St, Hokitika on the big screen. A bowl of vegetable soup and a bun will be available.

Andrew Wright is knowledgeable, professional and a highly experienced and respected teacher of digital technology. He qualified as a librarian and specialised in the development of Information Technology products to make IT more accessible to all. He is a part of the worldwide open source community. Andrew has run his own international company for over 30 years and never purchased a piece of proprietary software. He has built and maintained numerous websites for individuals and companies using easily accessible tools.
