About Development West Coast:
Development West Coast (DWC) is the economic development agency and regional tourism organisation for the region.
DWC was set up as a Charitable Trust in 2001 to manage, invest and distribute income from a fund received from the Government. This fund was an adjustment package for the loss of indigenous forestry and the privatisation of much infrastructure on the West Coast in the late 1990s.
DWC is governed by a Deed of Trust to promote sustainable employment opportunities; and generate long term economic benefits for the West Coast.
DWC provides and facilitates business investment and support and employment opportunities, managing assets of over $146 million, and has business investments throughout the West Coast region.
Role at a Glance:
DWC is seeking a commercially savvy professional with a background in finance or banking, who thrives both independently and in a close-knit team. You’ll bring a proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving and use your strong communication skills to navigate complex challenges and build meaningful connections.
Working closely alongside our Chief Financial Officer, you'll play a key role in shaping funding decisions that drive regional growth. This dynamic and rewarding position combines financial analysis, strategic reporting, and loan book management with the opportunity to build strong, lasting relationships with clients. Desired Experience/Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in the commercial or business sectors, either in the public or private sector.
- Proven experience within the banking or finance sectors and, in particular, lending processes, systems, contracts and relevant legal compliance and monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree majoring in Business or Accounting or other relevant field.
