Getting to Hokitika
- It's only 3 hours driving from Christchurch via Arthur's Pass.
- It's only 4 hours drive south from Nelson via State Highway 6.
- Daily 35 minute flights are operated by Air New Zealand between Christchurch and Hokitika.
From Hokitika you can make day trips to Punakaiki or the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers.
