Directly at the Northern trail head of The Old Ghost Road lies a special wilderness accommodation experience.
During your stay you will be immersed in native West Coast wilderness.
We offer comfortable rooms, hearty meals and warm hospitality with a range of local beer and wines.
The perfect base for your plans either on the Old Ghost Road or for exploring the northern West Coast.
The Mokihinui River runs past the lodge, the perfect place for a spot of fishing.
Indulge in an outdoor bush bath or share stories with fellow adventurers around the blazing fire.
Room types
There are five guest suites available, each can sleep up to four people.
Each suite has a mezzanine level.
The beds in each suite can be arranged as singles or double.
One guest suite has a wheelchair accessible bathroom (please advise if you need this specific suite).
Meals
The cafe is open to the public and lodge guests from 10am – 5pm during the high season (October – April).
Dinenr is available on request for in-house guests at 6:30pm.
Continental breakfast is included in your room tariff, but you can sign up for a 8:30am cooked breakfast when you check in.
Directions
We are: 4.5 hours from Christchurch. 3.5 hours from Nelson. 30 minute flight and 50 minute drive from Wellington. 60 minutes from the Heaphy Track. 12 minutes by helicopter from the Mokihinui Forks (and amazing wilderness fishing). 45 minutes from Westport. 5 minute drive and/or 10 minute bike ride from the Seddonville pub.
