Maruia Hot Springs has been the Continent Winner for best Luxury Eco Spa and Luxury Mineral Springs in Australia and Oceania, two years in a row.

Although the hot springs site, located in the tranquil Lewis Pass National Reserve, has been a place of relaxation, rejuvenation and healing for centuries, Maruia Hot Springs was first recognised at the global awards as a country winner and now continent winner, following renovations to the historical thermal resort.

“We are fully committed to offering our guests a place to escape daily routine or reconnect with their loved ones in harmony with nature,” says Maruia Hot Springs Managing Director & Co Owner, James White. “We provide bathers with an authentic, natural and pure thermal mineral water experience and have a very low carbon footprint as the electricity used to power saunas, heating and buildings is produced on-site by our very own hydro-electric generator.

We are so humbled to have our hot springs and eco spa recognised on an international level.”

The award results are based on nominations from spa guests, which are then reviewed by an expert panel of independent spa consultants from all over the world. Winners are judged on quality, innovation and service.

“We would like to take the opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to our guests for taking the time to support us in these awards,” says Maruia Hot Springs Co Owner, Kim Hamilton. “We would also like to thank our amazing team at Maruia Hot Springs for delivering world-class experience time and time again."
