WestReef Services Ltd is the largest civil construction company in the Buller District. Established in 1996, WestReef is now a Council Controlled Trading Organisation (CCTO).
"Our key purpose is to make a profit for the benefit of ratepayers and the wider community. WestReef is a key employer in the district, providing stable, responsible employment, with a focus on
the wellbeing and development of staff. Over the past six years, we have shown consistent growth in revenue, profitability and staff numbers, while supporting the community across five key departments - roading/civil works, parks and reserves maintenance, services/ utilities management, environmental projects, mechanical workshop. WestReef has grown both in size and capacity over the past 10 years, and we now have the opportunity to design and build a fit-for-purpose office and yard to support our business development. As well as providing a range of business opportunities for us, we also have a chance to build resilience options into our business assets, to better place us to support the community in the event of a natural disaster."
