Once a year, hundreds of cyclists gather on the shores of Lake Brunner in Moana, New Zealand for the iconic Around Brunner bike ride.
The ride starts and finishes outside Hotel Lake Brunner, with participants taking on a 130km circuit that showcases some of the country's most stunning scenery. The route takes riders through lush rain forests, along winding roads, and over rolling hills, with breath-taking views of mountains and lakes throughout. The Around Brunner event has something for everyone, with three different events to choose from.
The first is the Around Brunner 130km individual, which challenges riders to complete the circuit on their own.
The second is the Around Brunner 130km team of two, which allows cyclists to work together to conquer the course.
And for the ultimate challenge, there's the Around Brunner Enduro 260km, where participants complete two laps of the circuit.
This fantastic event is now in its 18th year, and it's not hard to see why it's become a must-do for any serious cyclist. The scenery is unparalleled, the atmosphere is electric, and the sense of accomplishment upon finishing is indescribable. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a casual rider, the Around Brunner is an experience you won't soon forget.
