A group of West Coast professionals has completed Development West Coast’s Governance Programme, equipping them with essential governance skills to strengthen leadership across the region.

DWC has committed, in principle, up to $10 million in co-funding to support three major regional projects: the redevelopment of Westport Port, upgrades to Greymouth Port, and improvements at Hokitika Airport.

DWC support helps unlock $15.3 million in government funding through the Regional Infrastructure Fund (RIF).

With a big Buller “buzz” created through nearly 500,000 social media views of 875 spectacular entries, Promoting Buller organisers are thrilled with their inaugural Summer Snaps competition.

Over 20 representatives from Buller heritage organisations and projects gathered at the Lyric Theatre in Granity recently to share their initiatives and discuss opportunities for strengthening local heritage and boosting Buller tourism. Organised by Heritage West Coast, the meeting also aimed to provide collective input into the Buller District Council’s Long Term Plan.
