Chief Executive Heath Milne said DWC is taking this breach very seriously and have reported the incident to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
“We are working with specialist advisors, to determine the scale of the impact and mitigate any potential risks.
“Once our investigations are complete, we will work with the relevant parties to ensure that all appropriate steps are taken and provide guidance and support to any impacted parties. We can confirm that security of our IT system has been restored.”
“The full impact remains under investigation, and we are working with our security partners to strengthen protections and minimise the risk of future attacks.”
Mr Milne said cyber attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and the incident highlight the importance of maintaining robust security measures and rapid response procedures.
