Jade Mahuika, Project Manager at Development West Coast (DWC), says excitement is building. “With over 60 exhibitors at last year’s two-day event, we’re anticipating an even bigger turnout in 2025!”
The Coast Employment Expo is a collaborative effort between DWC, the Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs, Grey District Council, Buller District Council, West Coast Trades Academy, Tai Poutini Polytechnic, Buller High, and Productive People.
The event focuses on highlighting career pathways available on the Coast, aiming to retain talent, connect job seekers with employers, and showcase training opportunities.
The Expo will be held at the NBS Theatre in Westport on 26 May, and at the Westland Recreation Centre in Greymouth on 28 May.
Open to the community, schools, and job seekers, the expo provides a unique opportunity to engage with industry experts, employers, and training providers.
Following the success of last year’s event, organisers are expecting an even greater response this year. With exhibitor spaces filling up fast, businesses and organisations are encouraged to register now to secure a spot.
