The intensive two-day workshop, facilitated by Westlake Governance, provided participants with a strong foundation in governance principles, risk management, and strategic decision-making. Designed for new and aspiring board members, the programme has helped over 100 local businesspeople enhance their governance capabilities since its inception.
DWC Chief Executive Heath Milne said it was great to see another group of local leaders developing their governance skills.
“Good governance is essential for businesses, community groups, and councils to thrive. This programme is helping to build strong leadership across the West Coast, ensuring organisations have the right people at the table to navigate the future,” he said.
