Quality Machining have built a brand-new firefighter training simulator for the Wellington Airport. The simulator was originally an old grain silo. Clark, who is also part of the Cobden Fire Brigade, helped with the design of various parts of the plane including the nose/tail, the cockpit, seating, and decals.
Local volunteer fire brigades, St John staff, and ROA rescue helicopter staff were the very first people to give the new simulator a go, with drills involving the different crews.
The simulator is now at its new home at the Wellington airport.
