Facilitated by Malcolm Alexander of Yule Alexander, the meeting focused on developing a collaborative regional approach.
The MCI group welcomes the opportunity to work towards a long-term deal with the government centred on a 30-year vision and a 10-year programme of investment in the region
The group emphasised that this long-term approach would transcend the constraints of the typical three-year political cycle, providing councils and businesses with the confidence to invest in projects that will unlock the economic potential for the region.
A successfully negotiated Regional Deal will not only deliver lasting benefits for the West Coast but also make a meaningful contribution to the national economy.
