Lara Thomas and Lucy Nilson from DWC’s tourism team, were joined by representatives from Franz Josef Wilderness Tours, Shantytown Heritage Park, Lake Brunner Eco Lodge, and Underworld Adventures.
The team visited Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, and Brisbane, meeting with over 100 agents from major travel businesses such as Hello World, Viva Holidays, Abercrombie & Kent, and Tripadvisor. The y also held a well-received presentation lunch in Sydney attended by 42 Australian Inbound agents.
The goal was to strengthen relationships and showcase the West Coast as a premier travel destination.
Lara said they the trip was really successful. “The West Coast is a sought after travel destination by many!”
