Qualmark New Zealand awarded Silver 4 Star Plus Sustainable Tourism accreditation under the Boutique Accommodation category.
Owners Lisa and Dave North are delighted to have received Silver 4 Star Plus in their first Qualmark New Zealand evaluation. Lisa said "The evaluation has given us the guidelines and feedback to work on proving we have the systems and processes to work towards achieving Gold after our follow up evaluation in April".

Breakers Boutique Accommodation
Jan and Stephen are proud to have been advised following their Qualmark reassessment, they have retained their Gold 4 Star Plus Boutique & Lodge accreditation rating. This is in recognition of their efforts both in sustainability, guest satisfaction, health & safety and business systems.
While they are thrilled to retain this accreditation, together with their Tripadvisor awards, the best recognition of their efforts is their return guests. Early February saw a couple from the UK back for their 9th visit spanning the last 15 years. Breakers is the first place they book, and they plan the rest of their holiday around getting availability at Breakers.
Aside from these guests there are also two other couples staying in February, one for their 3rd visit and the other couple for their 4th visit. Both of these couples are from the USA. Again a testament to the love and care and genuine NZ hospitality offered by Jan and Stephen.

Gentle Annie Seaside Accommodation and Camping Ground
The Hot Tubs at Gentle Annie Seaside Accommodation and Camping Ground have been under new management since the 1st of December. The March/April Calendars for booking hot tubs are now open and can be found on our website. The 3-hour soak sessions at the camping ground in beautiful private garden enclosures run from 6pm-9pm (one session per tub) and are very popular with our guests.
Situated at the mouth of the Mokihinui River on the West Coast. Sheltered and private camping sites are set amongst landscaped gardens, all within a couple of minutes' walk to the river and beach. Dogs are welcome, a fantastic cafe onsite, free WIFI and beautiful amenities, Gentle Annie is a place not to be missed.
