Contest Terms and Conditions: "Discover the West Coast of New Zealand"

Sponsored by Development West Coast, DB Breweries, West Coast Pies, and Scenic Hotel Group

Eligibility:

  • The "Discover the West Coast of New Zealand" contest (the "Contest") is open to legal residents of New Zealand who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.
  • Employees, directors, and contractors of Development West Coast, DB Breweries, West Coast Pies, Scenic Hotel Group, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

    Contest Period:
  • The Contest will run from 02 October 2023 to 30 November 2023 ("Contest Period").

    How to Enter:
  • To enter the Contest, participants must:
    • Purchase a beer and pie combo from participating DB retailers during the Contest Period.
    • Visit the official contest website via QR code provided
    • Complete the online entry form, providing all required information
    • Agree to these Terms and Conditions.
    • Only one entry per beer and pie purchase is permitted.

      Prize Package:
    • One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a prize package for two (2) adults worth $2,500, which includes:
    • Flights for two people to the West Coast from any port in NZ.
    • Lunch at Monteith’s and a Beer Tour.
    • Accommodation for two (2) nights for two (2) people at Scenic Hotel Punakaiki.
    • Dinner at Punakaiki Tavern.
    • A visit to Westport's West Coast Pie Company and complementary pies.
    • Vehicle hire for three (3) days.
  • The prize is subject to operator availability and may be subject to blackout dates and exclusions.

    Winner Selection:
  • The Grand Prize winner will be selected through a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
  • The drawing will take place within 10 days after the Contest End Date.
  • The winner will be notified by email and/or phone within 10 days after the drawing.

    Prize Conditions:
  • The Grand Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prize.
  • All travel-related expenses not explicitly mentioned in the prize package, including but not limited to meals (except those specified), travel insurance, and personal expenses, are the responsibility of the winner.
  • The winner and their companion must possess valid identification and travel documents.
  • Travel dates are subject to availability, and blackout dates may apply.
  • The winner is responsible for adhering to all terms and conditions imposed by third-party providers, including but not limited to airlines and hotels.
  • To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its associated agencies are not liable in any way (including, without limitation, in negligence) for any loss, damage or injury (including indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with participation in this Promotion or the use of the Prize.
  • The prize must be claimed within 180 days of notification.

    General Terms:
  • By entering the Contest, participants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the organizers, which are final.
  • The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Terms and Conditions or engages in fraudulent or unethical conduct.
  • The organizers are not responsible for any technical, typographical, or other errors in the administration of the Contest.
  • The organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest for any reason.
  • By signing up you give permission for Development West Coast, Monteiths and The West Coast Pie Company for competition purposes.
  • You may be contacted by the promoter if you ticked the "The promoter may contact me for competition and marketing purposes." tick box. You can unsubscribe at any time.

    Privacy:
  • Information provided by participants will be used in accordance with the organizers' privacy policy.
    Governing Law:
  • This Contest is governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

By participating in the "Discover the West Coast of New Zealand" Contest, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
