This expressive retreat's focus is the Tawaki Penguin, we have a rare opportunity to be guided to a very limited access colony. Here we will have use of an open hide that has been used by our local guide for 30 years, so what is known as the world's shyest penguin is completely undisturbed by our presence - so much so that sometimes our long lense prove too big for the job. We have timed this retreat so for when the penguin chicks are growing and there is plenty of activity happening in the colony to capture.
