Nestled amongst the Southern Alps, close to Franz Josef Glacier and countless other scenic spots, the Rainforest Retreat is the perfect base to explore New Zealand’s Glacier Country and the wild West Coast.
"With our accommodation ranging from flashpackers, to motels, all the way up to five Deluxe units, there is truly something for everyone. Following a day of adventuring, our onsite Monsoon restaurant and bar is the perfect space to wind down and relax. Guests can cosy up next to open log fires, whilst enjoying some tasty homecooked meals and delicious cold beverages.
As the COVID pandemic started to affect our small community we looked at how we could support not just our business but our local community as well. After the halt on commercial laundry services to South Westland we took on the laundry for four other businesses in town for a minimal cost. We promote local activities to all of our guests to share the love around town, and have also created packages with multiple businesses on the West Coast, banding together and supporting one another to get through the tough times."
