Nine international travel sellers will experience a familiarisation trip, showcasing the West Coast, this May. The itinerary highlights the region's attractions and accommodations.
The journey begins in Christchurch, with a scenic train ride over the Southern Alps to Moana, Lake Brunner. Participants will lunch at Hotel Lake Brunner. The afternoon includes a site inspection of the Copthorne Hotel Greymouth, followed by an evening at Paparoa Experience and Scenic Hotel Punakaiki.
Day two features underground rafting with Underworld Adventures, the West Coast Treetop Walk and Tower Zipline, and a meal at the Blue Ice Restaurant and Bar before staying at Te Waonui Forest Retreat in Franz Josef.
The following day offers a VIP backstage pass at the West Coast Wildlife Centre. Site inspections at Rainforest Retreat and Heartland Hotel Glacier Country precede a Heli Hike with Fox Glacier Guiding. The afternoon includes the Lake Matheson Walkway, a site inspection at Heartland Hotel Fox Glacier, dinner at Betsey Jane Eatery and Bar, and a night at Te Weheka Retreat Fox Glacier.
The penultimate day starts with a helicopter flight over Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers with Heliservices.NZ, followed by quad biking with Franz Josef Wilderness Tours, a site inspection of the Beachfront Hotel. The day concludes at Maruia Hot Springs, with a bathe, sauna, dinner, and overnight stay.
The trip ends the following morning with a transfer to Christchurch International Airport.
