West Coast business owner, Patrick Volk, has harnessed the iconic flavours of the West Coast for a new line of chocolates.
Each chocolate represents a West Coast icon. There's a nugget of coal for Westport, pancake rocks for Punakaiki, gold for Greymouth, Greenstone for Hokitika, a glacier for Fox and Franz Josef, and a whitebait pattie for Haast.
The chocolates are made using ingredients from West Coast suppliers, such as WestGold Butter, Kawatiri Coffee, West Coast Wilderness Honey, Monteith's black beer, and Reefton Distilling Co.'s Little Biddy Pink Gin.
The new business venture was launched with fanfare in the Hokitika Regent Theatre.
