Charleston is a fantastic option for a stay in the Westport area. Our Motel is situated close to Westport and a great option if you want a quieter and more scenic Westport motel option. We are just a short coast drive from the world famous Punakaiki pancake rocks. We enjoy sharing BBQs with our guests & using our own home grown produce. Charleston is a great base to explore the northern attractions of Karameas Oparara arches, take a mine tour around Stockton or at Denniston enjoy the beaches & walks at Cape Foulwind. Westport has Coaltown museum theatre & an excellent pool & sporting complex.
Around Charleston there are several good walks & a variety of clifftops & beaches to explore – take the rainforest train up the Nile Valley – visit the glowworm caves with NorWest Adventures or try underworld rafting. There is Jacks Gasthoff for meals & drinks & a new cafe open at NorWest Adventures base as well as Charleston Goldfields Club where you can meet the locals.
