Packrafting is the perfect way to explore the West Coast from the mountains to the sea. These incredible rafts pack down to the size of a sleeping bag and weigh as little as 2kg so are the ultimate modern day adventure tool.

Instead of being a spectator and viewing the Hokitika gorge from the side-line - get your hands on a pack raft and immerse yourself in an experience like no other!

What is packrafting?

Packrafting is a relatively new sport in New Zealand and there's no place better to do it in the world than the West Coast of NZ. Light enough to be carried long distances, packrafts are the perfect add-on to any adventure. Hike-raft, bike-raft, ski-raft, hunting, car camping, traveling, fishing, canyoning, white water - you name it. Supplies and gear are stored easily in the pontoon chamber of the raft before inflating.

Grab a paddle, strap any larger gear on top, and you’re ready to adventure!
