About
The first owners of the hotel in 1876, were Annie and Otto Anderson of Scandinavia and Germany, respectively. Kumara's first Mayor and New Zealand's longest serving Premier, Richard John Seddon, was often known to take to the stage and sing. After a two year rebuild, the Theatre Royal Hotel is now once again host to guests and diners from near and far including those who are cycling the West Coast Wilderness Trail. We offer cycle sheds, a drying room and packed lunches.
